Intrepid’s former crewmembers and 5th graders from PS 6 in Manhattan participated in a ribbon cutting today with Intrepid President Susan Marenoff-Zausner to commemorate the Museum’s reopening.

After a six week closure to repair major damage to our electrical systems caused by Hurricane Sandy, Intrepid’s doors are open once again to carry out our mission to honor our heroes, educate the public and inspire our youth.

After the ribbon cutting, the 5th graders were led on tours by Museum Educators and got to learn about life aboard Intrepid from our former crewmembers. .
