The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum will honor our heroes, past and present, with our annual Veterans Day ceremony at 3:00pm on November 11, 2013. Held on the Flight Deck of Intrepid, the ceremony will include remarks from Museum President Susan Marenoff-Zausner and the ceremonial laying of the wreaths.
Veterans will receive free admission to the Intrepid Museum on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, 2013.
Bruce Mosler, co-chairman of the Museum, and Rear Admiral Richard P. Snyder, Commander of the Expeditionary Strike Group, will also speak during the ceremony, and J.W. Cortes, former United States Marine, will sing the National Anthem. The New York City Joint Services Color Guard, Father Gerald Murray of the Holy Family Church, and Dr. Mary Rorro, psychiatrist for the Department of Veterans Affairs, will also be on hand.
Two ceremonial wreaths will be laid, and the ceremony will conclude with a performance by the Music Conservatory of Westchester. Also on Veterans Day, the Intrepid Museum will be dedicating new Seats of Honor via a private ceremony for recipients and their families.
