CARTOON AND COMIC BOOK ARTISTS TO
SPEAK WITH NYC YOUTH AT
INTREPID SEA, AIR & SPACE MUSEUM

Celebrated cartoon and comic book artists, Herb Trimpe (Hulk/GI Joe), Liza Donnelly (The New Yorker), Raina Telgemeier (Babysitter’s Club) and Dan Parent and Fernando Ruiz (Archie) will do on the spot illustrations and share their personal experiences with a group of 220 New York City middle school students as part of the Intrepid Power of One continuing education program on Thursday, March 18th from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, located at Pier 86 (46th Street and 12th Avenue), Manhattan.

The event is the first of four special Power of One events supported by INTELIUS!  The program will also broadcast live via video conference to the students at MS 324 in Washington Heights.

The Intrepid Museum’s Power of One program allows students to meet and hear from community members who share their experiences and insights about the challenges to achieve success, the importance of civic involvement and a love of their country.  It is based on the notion that a single event can change a young person’s life or start them on the road to change.

The Power of One program is consistent with the mission of the Intrepid to “honor our heroes, educate the public and inspire our youth.”
