H-60 BLACK HAWK HELICOPTER TO LAND ON FLIGHT DECK OF INTREPID


The 106th Rescue Wing, a top combat search and rescue unit, will a conduct search and rescue demonstrations on Wednesday, November 11th from 12:00 PM – 12:45 PM at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, located at Hudson River Park Pier 86 (46th Street and 12th Avenue), Manhattan.

Following the demonstration at 12:45 PM, an HH-60 Black Hawk helicopter will land on the flight deck of the Intrepid and museum visitors will have the opportunity to climb inside and interact with pilots.

The 106th Rescue Wing, headquartered at Gabreski Air National Guard Base in Westhampton Beach, New York, has performed numerous combat search and rescues heroically in both military and humanitarian missions.
