INTREPID MUSEUM BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTS NEW CO-CHAIRS

New York, NY (May 7, 2012) – The Intrepid Sea, Air and & Space Museum has announced that Kenneth Fisher, Senior Partner of Fisher Brothers and the Chairman of the Fisher House Foundation, and Bruce Mosler, Chairman of Global Brokerage, Cushman & Wakefield,  have been named Co-Chairmen of the Board of the Intrepid Museum.

Both Mr. Fisher and Mr. Mosler have been long time members of the Intrepid’s board, joining in 1999.

“We have some exciting times ahead of us and much work to accomplish,” said Mr. Fisher. “I am looking forward to working with my fellow board members and the dedicated Intrepid staff to continue to fulfill its mission to honor our heroes, educate the public and inspire our youth.”

Mr. Mosler said, “I’ve always been so proud of the museum’s accomplishments.  Now, having watched the Enterprise land in New York City recently, we are even more energized and looking forward to being part of its arrival and opening at the museum this summer.”

Charles de Gunzburg and Richard Santulli, who have served as co-chairs since since 2006, will remain on the board.

Mr. de Gunzburg and Mr. Santulli said, “We are both proud of the accomplishments over these last six years, which include the Intrepid’s restoration and return to Pier 86, the museum’s grand reopening, and our successful campaign to land a retiring space shuttle in New York City.  We look forward to continuing to serve the Intrepid – just from different seats at the table.”

Susan Marenoff-Zausner, President of the Intrepid Museum, said, “We are very grateful for the many years that Charles and Rich have served as co-chairs and are thankful that they will remain as active board members.  Under Ken and Bruce’s leadership, we look forward to an extraordinary future.”
