WREATH LAYING IN HUDSON RIVER
Members of the US Marine Corps, US Navy and former crew members of the USS Intrepid will gather for the annual Veterans’ Day ceremony honoring our nation’s military service members on Thursday, November 11th from 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, located at Hudson River Park Pier 86 (46th Street and 12th Avenue), Manhattan.
The tribute – to be held on the flight deck of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum – will include the presentation of the National Colors and the playing of “Taps” by Naval Operations Support Center, Bronx, NY; and the annual commemorative wreath laying in the Hudson River.
The ceremony will begin with the 106th Rescue Wing USAF National Guard boarding an HH-60 Blackhawk helicopter and lifting off from the flight deck of the Museum.
Remarks will be made by Brigadier General Razz Waff, US Army and Susan Marenoff, Executive Director of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.
