INTREPID SEA, AIR & SPACE MUSEUM

The
Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum will host a wreath-laying ceremony to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor on
Saturday, December 7th, from 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, located at Pier 86 (46th Street and 12th Avenue), Manhattan. Event will take place at the far end of Pier 86, under the Concorde. Press check-in begins at 10:30 AM. The ceremony is free and open to the public.
Pearl Harbor survivors from the New York metropolitan area and former USS Intrepid crewmembers will participate in the event. The ceremony will begin with the Presentation of the Colors and the singing of the National Anthem.
Pearl Harbor survivor Clark Simmons, Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum President Susan Marenoff-Zausner, and Major General Margaret W. Boor, Commanding General, 99th Regional Support, United States Army, will each deliver remarks.
The ceremony will conclude with the Laying of Commemorative Wreath in the Hudson River by Pearl Harbor survivors and the playing of taps.
