COCA-COLA TO HOST FREE ALL-DAY YOUTH STREET HOCKEY EVENT AT THE INTREPID MUSEUM
Special Event on Saturday May 14th to Celebrate Success of
Year-Long Youth Fitness Initiative
New York, May 10, 2011 – Last December, NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, The New York Rangers and Coca-Cola, launched a new program to provide free indoor hockey clinics for youth in New York City aimed to advocate the importance of living an active and healthy lifestyle. Throughout the program more than 500 New York City youth this winter were able to get into the action and sharpen their hockey skills. To celebrate the success of the program, On May 14th from 10AM-5PM, former New York Rangers Ron Duguay, Nick Fotiu and Brian Mullen will host an all-day outdoor youth hockey event at Pier 68 at the Intrepid featuring interactive clinics and activities for the whole family.

Event to celebrate the success of “New York Rangers & NYC Parks Youth Street Hockey presented by Live Positively, Coca-Cola,” program which offered free youth hockey instruction and tips on the importance of exercising and eating a balanced diet to youth in the New York City Region. Through weekly scheduled clinics, 500 children were able to learn basic hockey skills and the value of healthy living
