Hundreds of service men and women in the armed forces will sail into New York City in the “Parade of Ships” that will usher in the 23rd annual Fleet Week celebration on Wednesday, May 26th from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM.  Media is welcome to view the parade from the Flight Deck of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, located at Pier 86 (46th Street and 12th Avenue), Manhattan.

Eleven vessels will participate in the parade: the USS Iwo Jima, USS James E. Williams, USS De Wert, USS Tempest, USS Monsoon, USS Squall, USS Philippine Sea, USCGC Katherine Walker, USCGC Campbell, USCGC Abbie Burgess and HMCS Athabaskan.

The ships will pass Intrepid en route to the George Washington Bridge, where they will turn around and sail back to the respective piers where each vessel will be berthed for the Fleet Week festivities.
