SPEAK WITH NYC YOUTH AT
INTREPID SEA, AIR & SPACE MUSEUM
Randii Wessen of the Jet Propulsions Laboratory will conduct hands-on experiments and share his experiences in planetary exploration with a group of 200 New York City students as part of the Intrepid Power of One program on Friday, April 9th from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, located at Pier 86 (46th Street and 12th Avenue), Manhattan.
Wessen will discuss the direction of the US space program, space exploration and the importance of science education.
The Intrepid Museum’s Power of One program allows students to meet community members who share their experiences and insights about the challenges to achieve success, the importance of civic involvement and a love of their country. It is based on the notion that a single event can change a young person’s life or start them on the road to change.
The Power of One program is consistent with the mission of the Intrepid to “honor our heroes, educate the public and inspire our youth.”
This Power of One event is supported by INTELIUS!
