
Thursday, May 12th’s Focus on History Lecture is set to feature Author David Sears, a historian and a former U.S. Navy officer. Mr. Sears will discuss his book Such Men as These and profile the U.S. Navy combat pilots who flew during the Korean War.
He is the author of three previous books, including At War with the Wind, which addresses the Japanese tactic of the Kamikaze attack and The Last Epic Naval Battle on the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
This program is offered in collaboration with the New York Military Affairs Symposium.
This event is FREE to Museum Members, New York Military Affairs Symposium Members, or is FREE with Museum admission.
Focus on History is an annual lecture series presented by the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, made possible by the New York Council for the Humanities. The purpose of the program is to provide Museum members and the general public with opportunities to meet and learn from a wide range of scholars and authors exploring topics of American and world history.
