Welcome to the After Party by the Intrepid Museum’s Special Events Team. Here we’ll give you a look behind the velvet ropes at one of the most exceptional venues in New York, and we’ll tell you what’s catching our eye in the industry and beyond. Just like our events, each of us has a unique style. We’ll be giving you the good, the bad and the outrageously inspiring from our life aboard the ship. Join us for the After Party!

From casual to glam, find out how we take one holiday-inspired piece and work it three different ways to make your day-to-night routine a breeze.

Worker Bee

Keep your sequin skirt classic and work-appropriate by opting for a conservative cut and length. Dress it down with a cream sweater and white Converse, two of our favorite basics for staying comfortable during long production days.

Boss Bee

Give your sequins a playful look for an evening networking event by wearing it with a chambray button-down shirt, black blazer and mid-height heels to help you flawlessly maneuver the crowds while staying comfortable and confident. An added bonus is that with two pockets, you can keep your business cards in one and those you collect from colleagues in another, no sorting necessary.

Queen Bee

The best thing about this sequin skirt is that you can keep everything else simple with a black camisole, top knot and statement necklace.  Our favorite way to go from a casual day to classic night look is a red lip. Make a quick sweep of foundation over your lips, and use lip liner to accentuate your cupid’s bow. After applying, solidify your lip line with a small amount of foundation around the edges using a lip or concealer brush. Blend out and you’re good to go for a festive night out on the town!
