Welcome to the After Party by the Intrepid Museum’s Special Events Team. Here we’ll give you a look behind the velvet ropes at one of the most exceptional venues in New York, and we’ll tell you what’s catching our eye in the industry and beyond. Just like our events, each of us has a unique style. We’ll be giving you the good, the bad and the outrageously inspiring from our life aboard the ship. Join us for the After Party!

All aboard the Love Boat! That’s what you might call Intrepid these days. We’ve been awash in romance, hosting not one but two marriage proposals. Spoiler alert: They said YES!

Both events took place on the fantail, an outdoor space located at the westernmost point of the ship. Once used as the aviation repair shop, the fantail now offers a spectacular view of the setting sun, while the adjoining VIP Room can hide any eager family and friends waiting to surprise the happy couple!

Each couple had a special connection to the Intrepid Museum. One groom-to-be was an active service member, and the other couple shared their first date aboard Intrepid.

Juan Alonzo and Lisette Morales

Joey Bouganim and Adela Tebele

Take a virtual tour of the fantail here, and start planning your next outdoor event aboard Intrepid!
