This morning, Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum took pause to remember the “…date which will live in infamy,” the 70th Anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Patricia Beene, the Museum’s Chief Financial and Administrative Officer welcomed Dan Fruchter, who spoke on behalf of the Pearl Harbor Survivor Association and Rear Admiral Wendi B. Carpenter, President of SUNY Maritime College.
Reverend William Kalaidjain and Rabbi Jonathan Pearl blessed the ceremonial wreath--- using water from the USS Arizona--- which was then laid by the attending Pearl Harbor Survivors and punctuated by a poignant 21-gun salute by the 69th Infantry Firing Party. |
