Throughout the month of December, we’ll be sharing the personal stories of three individuals and why the Intrepid Museum matters to them.
For Travis Patton, the Intrepid Museum matters because this is where his father, Tom, served his country—flying Skyraiders from the flight deck of Intrepid. Although Tom passed away this spring, his legacy continues here at the Museum as we share his story and the stories of all who serve.
“I support the Museum because there are thousands of stories, like my father’s, that deserve to be heard and shared. Through recording oral histories, sharing those stories with visitors, caring for historic artifacts and crafting engaging exhibitions and education programs, the Museum ensures that this history will never be forgotten.” -Travis Patton |
Hear Travis, in his own words, in this video. And then I hope you will take a moment to share why you think #MuseumsMatter by making a donation to the Museum’s Annual Appeal. With your help, the Museum will continue to honor, educate and inspire for generations to come. |
