Here at the Intrepid Museum, we’re excited for 2015, filled with events and programs related to space, science, aviation, history and more! The new year starts off strong with several programs in January, including Family Days and an Astronomy Night, followed by our annual Kids Week and celebrations honoring the 25th anniversary of the Hubble Space Telescope. |

On Saturday, January 10, High-Flying Design Family Day gives children and families a chance to make paper airplanes while learning about the four forces of flight! On Saturday, January 24, Dive into Density Family Day teaches guests all about density and how it can be changed by creating and manipulating a Cartesian diver. Museum educators also have a lot planned for our Access Family Programs in 2015, starting with Plane Design, a program for children with developmental or learning disabilities on Sunday, January 18. |

Registration is now open for Camp Intrepid Winter Spring, including camp sessions the weeks of February 16‒20, March 16‒20, March 23‒27 and April 6‒10. Registration for Camp Intrepid Summer 2015, starting in June, will open on January 12. |

If you’re looking for a more grown-up activity, come to a special Astronomy Night on Friday, January 23, featuring a presentation by Dr. Steve B. Howell, project scientist for NASA’s planet-hunting Kepler and K2 missions. For this indoor astronomy night, guests must be at least 21 years old as beer and wine will be available to purchase. Registration for this event is now open.

From February 16 to 21, join us for our annual Kids Week, six days of fun-filled activities, hands-on workshops, live shows and much more, all exploring FLIGHT. From the science of aviation to sustaining life in outer space, every day offers unique opportunities for discovery. Kids can learn how to grow food in space, create their own telescopes and master the physics of flight while making a perfect paper airplane. |

On Saturday, March 14, the Museum is excited to host Girls in Science and Engineering Day, from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Various organizations will engage visitors in hands-on experiences, demonstrations and interactives to discover how STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) is all around us!

Then, in April, the Museum will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Hubble Space Telescope. In addition to the exhibition HUBBLE@25, currently on display in the Space Shuttle Pavilion, the Museum will host events celebrating the achievements and technological advancements of the Hubble. |
