The Museum received a renewed grant from the Cathay Bank Foundation to support the Museum’s Youth Leadership Institute (YLI@Intrepid). This is the second year the Foundation has contributed to this program, and the Museum is grateful for its continued dedication.
Beginning its tenth year this September, YLI@Intrepid reaches students in low-income schools and neighborhoods. The yearlong program is designed to help students grow academically and socially during the most critical years in their education, at no cost to their families. It includes a career ladder that invites program alumni to apply for six paid internships and six junior educator positions at the Museum. YLI@Intrepid is based on the premise that with the right resources and adult allies to support them, youth can make meaningful change happen in their lives and in their communities.
The Museum is honored to partner with the Cathay Bank Foundation in offering this program!
