Tomorrow, Thursday, August 18th, Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum will welcome the crew from NASA’s final space shuttle mission: Atlantis STS-135
Space Shuttle Atlantis Commander Christopher Ferguson, Pilot Doug Hurley and Mission Specialists Sandra Magnus and Rex Walheim recently completed a 13-day mission to the International Space Station in July, marking the end of NASA’s 30-year-old shuttle program.
The STS-135 crew will be on hand to take pictures and sign autographs from 12:15 - 1:45pm at NASA’s Journey to Tomorrow traveling exhibit on Intrepid’s Pier 86 and will also be at NASA’s Project Kewl exhibit located in the Intrepid’s Exploreum Hall.
Journey to Tomorrow is NASA Glenn's newest traveling exhibit. This 53-foot trailer has been transformed into an interactive environment packed with hands-on activities and digital learning stations.
Journey to Tomorrow will be on display Thursday, August 18th through Friday, August 19th.
