
The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum’s “Focus on History” Lecture Series will continue today, Thursday, March 3rd.
In honor of its Salute to Women Celebration, Intrepid will present Robert Edelman on “From Rosie the Riveter to Harriet the Happy Homemaker: Women on Screen During and After World War II.”
At this lecture, Mr. Edelman, film historian at the University of Albany, will explore the pre-war to post-war transition of American women as seen in popular film.
This program, free and open to the public, is made possible through the support of the New York Council for the Humanities’ Speakers in the Humanities program.
All Focus on History Lectures take place at 7:00 pm – 8:30pm in the Allison and Howard Lutnick Theater at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum (March 19th lecture excluded).
