Celebrate America’s 250th birthday at the Intrepid Museum, July 3–7! Throughout the weekend, enjoy musical performances and explore a variety of military displays, activities, and demonstrations from the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard, Office of Naval Research, and more.

Participants include:
- U.S. Coast Guard: Meet members of the world’s premier maritime service, responsible for search and rescue, law enforcement, environmental response, and more. Interact with Coast Guard divers and see them in action in the interactive dive tank. Explore the Mobile Communication Vehicle, one of only three in the Coast Guard, equipped with satellite network connectivity and tactical radio communications, deployable anywhere in the world.
- U.S. Marine Corps: The Marines are here! Try on their gear, get camouflaged at the cami paint station, see tactical equipment up close, and learn what it takes to stand among the few.
- U.S. Air Force: Soar through the sky with virtual reality flight simulators, test your physical strength on the WunderWall, and learn what it takes to become an Airman or Guardian. Aim High…Fly, Fight, Win!
- U.S. Army: Join the U.S. Army Experience for interactive fun! Test your skills in pull-up and push-up contests, Take-A-Selfie with a Soldier in the photo booth and capture your “This We’ll Defend” warrior spirit story. Try on tactical protective gear, operate EOD robots, and explore the gaming trailer. Be All You Can Be and celebrate with the U.S. Army NYC Recruiting Battalion. #ArmyNYC #Army250
- Naval STEM: The U.S. Naval Academy and Naval STEM Coordination Office will present a SeaPerch underwater vehicle demo. Visitors can compete in challenges using remote-controlled undersea vehicles.
- National Coast Guard Museum: supports Coast Guard missions by inspiring and engaging with the public to celebrate the service’s members and their accomplishments of the past, present and future. Visitors will also have the opportunity for a hands-on experience with an array of Coast Guard educational artifacts.
- BUILDSUBMARINES.COM Explore the future of Maritime Manufacturing at the BuildSubmarines.com booth. Visitors can dive into the U.S. Navy’s journey to transform its nuclear-powered submarine fleet and discover how they can be part of this historic mission. At the BuildSubmarines.com booth, they’ll find resources on high-impact manufacturing careers available nationwide. Guests can also test their skills on a virtual welder, score exclusive prizes and giveaway items, and learn more about the hands-on work powering our nation’s undersea edge.

12:00pm-5:00pm: Stage Performances
- Performances from The Satin Dollz - a 1940s Big Band Swing USO Act, from across the United States, the lovely Satin Dollz were first brought together on one stage in 2005 with a shared mission: to deliver top tier entertainment inspired by the glamour, harmony, and heart of the WWII era USO Camp Shows. What began as a Hollywood based passion project quickly grew into an internationally celebrated vintage ensemble. Honoring veterans and preserving musical history remains central to the group’s mission.
- Performances from the 10th Mountain Division Army Band: through music, the 10th Mountain Division Band will represent and champion, to the widest degree, the 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, and the U.S. Army throughout the North Country and surrounding regions with impeccable military bearing, professionalism, and high-quality musical products. We will use music to build community, steward tradition, bolster troop morale, and honor the fallen in accordance with the senior mission commander’s strategic communication objectives, as well as all published guidelines, policies, and regulations.
12:00pm-4:00pm: VR Experience: Explore Intrepid: Engines and Boilers: Step into immersive 3D recreations of USS Intrepid’s engineering spaces and learn firsthand how to run the engines, fuel the boilers, steer the ship and more. Experience Engines and Boilers at the Museum or download the app to keep exploring at home. (minimum age required 10+) Location: Hangar 3
1:00pm & 3:00pm: U.S. Army Drill Team (Flight Deck) Watch breathtaking precision routines performed with bayonet-tipped 1903 Springfield rifles. The U.S. Army Drill Team is a precision drill platoon with the primary mission of showcasing the U.S. Army both nationally and internationally.
Participants include:

- Performances from Sounds of Valor: Sounds of Valor is more than a band, it's a joyful company of talented men and women who served their country in uniform. Veterans of nearly every branch of the US Armed Forces who came together to make music and share their passion with the world.

- The Royal Swedish Navy Band: The Royal Swedish Navy Band dates back to 1680s and has operated uninterruptedly since then. The band is today one of the Swedish Armed Forces three military bands and it comprises 30 full-time professional musicians. The Navy Band is based in the World Heritage town of Karlskrona. The Royal Swedish Navy Band has a wide range of concerts available to the public where the repertoire covers different genres of wind music to attract everyone. The band continuously collaborates with established conductors and soloists, and with its recognized high international standard, the Royal Swedish Navy Band today is one of the leading ensembles of its kind in the world.

- Performances from United States Coast Guard Jazz Combo: delighting audiences in the United States and around the globe since 1925. In its performances, the Jazz Combo plays all musical styles, ranging from selections of the Great American Songbook to Pop, Jazz and Rhythm and Blues. The 55-member United States Coast Guard Band is the sole professional musical representative of the U.S. Coast Guard and the Department of Homeland Security. The Band serves both as a symbol of the service's heritage and as a cultural ambassador for the United States at home and abroad.
- Performances from America's Sweethearts: The Andrews Sisters and beyond! This vintage vocal trio sings music from the 1860s to the 1960s in the style of the girl groups of yesteryear - all with a slice of old-fashioned fun!
