At the far end of the Museum's hangar deck stands Hangar 3, our most transformable event space! During operating hours, this area houses a handful of interactive exhibits. After closing hours, however, each exhibit can be removed from the Museum floor, leaving a room that boasts 11,000 square feet of column-free space ideal for elaborate event setups and unobstructed sightlines throughout the venue.
Sleek gray curtains line the room’s perimeter, enclosing the event space and simultaneously providing décor and original staging backdrops. These curtains also act as a canvas for lighting when desired. Our exclusive lighting vendor, Frost Productions, often uses colorful uplighting to strategically showcase the once-gray curtains with a vibrant ambiance, transforming the setting entirely.
Hangar 3's immense square-footage and adaptable curtains render it capable of incredible transformation. This space is ideal for large-scale events, enabling comfortable seating for up to 900 guests. We’re proud to host events such as seated dinners, galas, award ceremonies, concerts, bar and bat mitzvahs, fashion shows, meetings, and many more diverse transformations. Check out some of our favorites below!
…And there’s still more! Aside from the flexibility offered by Hangar 3, the space features additional perks for guests to enjoy. Hangar 3 is home to two immersive simulators: a four-dimensional movie experience and a user-guided flight simulator capable of 360-degree rotations. These simulators make excellent party package add-ons for unforgettable, interactive fun! Hangar 3 is also adjacent to Hangars 1 and 2, which provide excellent space for events such as cocktail receptions. One of our most popular event flows is a cocktail reception spread throughout Hangars 1 and 2, followed by a seated dinner in Hangar 3. Moreover, Hangar 3 provides access to multiple additional spaces that can be used as VIP rooms, green rooms, or back-of-house space as needed. For events that require extensive setup hours, this entire section can be closed while the rest of the Museum remains open, allowing you to begin event setup conveniently at your own pace.
