Before You Visit
  • We encourage you to purchase tickets and experiences in advance, as most of our popular enhanced offerings typically sell out. This will also allow you to better plan your day and enjoy expedited entry into the Museum.
  • Download the Bloomberg Connects App and view the Intrepid Museum’s free interactive guide during your visit for enhanced content throughout the Museum.

When You are Onsite
  • While it is always ideal to explore our Museum when the weather is nice, please note there are many indoor spaces with plenty of exhibits, interactives and artifacts for visitors to enjoy at any time.
  • Our Exploreum Hall in Hangar 3 of the aircraft carrier, contains the most hands-on activities for all ages. This location offers multiple simulators for visitors as well.
  • There are multiple places throughout the complex to purchase food and drinks. Aviator Grill, located on the second floor of the Welcome Center, is the largest restaurant on the complex and the Marketplace is located inside the aircraft carrier on the mess deck level. Both areas offer seating at their locations. An additional seasonal food service area is also located on the pier.
  • Lines to explore the inside of the Growler submarine tend to fill up quickly. We encourage you to check the line as you enter the Museum and suggest planning to experience this exhibit earlier during your visit.
  • Restrooms are located throughout the Museum complex, however, please note that there are NO restrooms located on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier.
  • We encourage our visitors to take photos and share them with others. We kindly request that you tag @intrepidmuseum where possible, as the Museum likes to highlight our visitors' experiences through our digital platforms.
