INTREPID SEA, AIR & SPACE MUSEUM DEBUTS “SCHOOL’S OUT, SHIP’S IN” EDUCATION PROGRAM ON MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY

Children Invited to Partake in Full Day of Educational and Fun Programs

Museum will be open to the public 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. 


Children ages 6-13 are invited to board the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum for the first of their “School’s Out, Ship’s In” programs when schools close for Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 19th from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM at the Intrepid, Pier 86 (46 Street and 12 Avenue), Manhattan.   

The educational program Life At Sea! allows children to experience the fun and adventures of living aboard an aircraft carrier and investigate ship spaces and new exhibits. Children will discover how the crew lived while at sea and made the Intrepid their home.  

Tickets are available for $90 per child and reservations can be made by calling (646) 381-5163.  

In addition to the Life At Sea! program, the museum will be open to the public on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 19th from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.  The museum is usually closed for business on Mondays during the winter season.
