NYPD UNITS TO DEMONSTRATE SKILLS
AT POLICE APPRECIATION WEEKEND AT THE
INTREPID SEA, AIR & SPACE MUSEUM
Different units of the NYPD will host a variety of demonstrations illustrating their unique capabilities as part of police appreciation weekend on Saturday, August 14th and Sunday, August 15th from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM daily at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, located at Pier 86 (46th Street and 12th Avenue), Manhattan.
Among the groups putting on demonstrations will be the NYPD Emergency Service K-9 Unit, the NYPD Scuba Unit and the NYPD Mounted Unit. A restored 52-foot-long NYC Harbor Police Boat will be docked along Pier 86 and a collection of restored vintage antique police cars will displayed throughout the weekend. The Bergen County Police Department will also participate in the weekend’s activities.
Police appreciation weekend pays tribute to New York City’s police officers and organizations.
