Here we’ll give you a look behind the velvet ropes at one of the most exceptional venues in New York, and we’ll tell you what’s catching our eye in the industry and beyond. Just like our events, each of us has a unique style. We’ll be giving you the good, the bad and the outrageously inspiring from our life aboard the ship. Join us for the After Party!

Last month, we got to spend the weekend with a beautiful family. With the help of event planners Anthony Tacetta and Michele Perry, we successfully hosted a fun coming-of-age celebration!

The entire hangar deck was reimagined for this exciting event. At the beginning of the evening, guests were ushered into the Lutnick Theater for the ceremony. Directly after the big moment, pipe and drape were removed for another reveal: a cool cocktail reception in hangar 1.

Taking inspiration from the bar mitzvah boy’s passions, the event design was focused on outdoorsy textures with a modern feel and pops of color. Large blue camouflage print donned the hangar 1 media wall behind the featured bar. The camouflage theme continued throughout the hangar deck, changing colors with each space. A vibrant, buzzing energy could be felt in hangar 2 while family and friends partook in gaming stations featuring Fortnite and classic arcade games.

Later, a completely transformed hangar 3 was revealed with a dramatic curtain opening. Long tables for a seated dinner for 235 guests surrounded a tiered dance floor with rapid-changing textured lighting. The tablescape and bars in hangar 3 displayed a Colorado flag-inspired design to highlight the guest of honor’s love of skiing. His personal skiing videos played on the big screen during his big entrance later in the evening complete with confetti, balloons and even more fun.

A big high-five to all of our fantastic vendors that helped make this a fantastic and lively evening—it was a mitzvah to remember!
