Access Family Program: Astronauts Aboard (Teens and Adults)
For teens (14+) and adults with developmental disabilities and their families
From incredible journeys to sea and space, the aircraft carrier Intrepid helped recover astronauts during the Space Race, while the space shuttle Enterprise tested the future of spaceflight. Learn more about the surprising connection between these two icons and what it really takes to blast off into space and return safely home.
About Access Family Programs: The Intrepid Museum offers programs for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families on select Sundays during regular Museum hours. Families take a guided tour of the Museum and can participate in art-making activities that everyone can enjoy. A program for children is offered in the morning, and a session for teens and adults in the afternoon.
Registration info: Free with advance registration. Registration opens one month before the program date. Space is limited. If you have any questions, please contact: access@intrepidmuseum.org
Access programs at the Intrepid Museum are generously supported by The FAR Fund, the J.E. & Z.B. Butler Foundation, Frank J. Antun Foundation and The Barker Welfare Foundation.
