The teaching of historical events often presents challenges unless students can find connections to experiences parallel to their own. Learn to connect World War II content to the lived experiences and multiple identities of students in your classroom, including multilingual learners. This workshop explores the multiple resources from both museums and highlights critical historical events, including Double Victory, the World War II demands for mobilization, women in the military, and aspects of the European and Pacific Theaters. Classroom-ready materials will also be available.
Check-in begins at 8:30 AM. Instruction starts at 9:00 AM. Morning coffee and tea provided. This workshop provides 5 CTLE credits to participating educators, classroom teachers, and paraprofessionals.
