Same date, new time and online! The teaching of historical events can be more meaningful when students are able to connect with experiences parallel to their own. Learn to help students, including multilingual learners, find connections between World War II content and their lived experiences. This workshop explores multiple resources from both museums and highlights critical historical events, including Double Victory - the fight for freedom overseas and at home for Black soldiers; the World War II demands for mobilization; women in the military; and aspects of the European and Pacific Theaters.
This workshop provides 4 CTLE credits to participating educators, classroom teachers, and paraprofessionals and is now a virtual workshop with a new time of 9:00 am-1:00 pm ET.
