About This Event

Free Fridays are back! The Intrepid Museum is once again extending its hours free from 5:00pm-9:00pm. Don’t miss special programming during Free Fridays, including the Museum’s popular Summer Movie Series. 

During the Museum’s Summer Movie Series, enjoy views of the Hudson River and city skyline while screening classic films on the flight deck. Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs, picnic baskets and blankets to view the film outdoors, free of charge, on a huge inflatable screen on the flight deck. Movie will begin at sunset.

MOVIE NIGHT GUIDELINES AND HELPFUL TIPS:

Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis and space is limited.

  • Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis and space is limited.
  • Light concessions will be sold onsite, and visitors are encouraged to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Alcohol is not permitted.
  • All exits are final; there is no reentry allowed.
  • Doors open at 5pm, but suggest you arrive earlier as it is a first come first serve and there is a capacity limit on the flight deck
  • Doors will close at 8:30pm.
  • Movie will begin at sunset.
  • All movies will have open captions.
