Inspiration Academy: Final Flight and Beyond

-

For Teachers and Educators

About This Event

Many people during and after World War II joined the military to serve their country through periods of war. Unfortunately, many military service members did not return home to their loved ones and may have been deemed missing-in-action (MIA) or became prisoners-of-war (POWs).

Join the Intrepid Museum in partnership with Project Recover for a 90-minute virtual professional development session focused on honoring and commemorating those service members.

Discover the mission of Project Recover as they seek to provide recognition, information, and closure to families of these service members who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms[RR1] . Learn how recovered personal items can begin to provide closure to families and continue sharing the memories of those lost in conflict with a focus on social emotional learning (SEL) concepts.

This course provides 1.5 CTLE credits. Registered participants will receive a program link and program information 1-2 days prior to the programming date. Virtual check-in will begin at 5:45pm ET.

Registration will open approximately one month before the event. Space is limited. Registration ends Friday, January 23 at 3:00pm.

This virtual program is open to 25 registered participants who will each be eligible for a $75 stipend upon completion of the program.
