Inspiration Academy: Spring Virtual Series

-

For Teachers and Educators

About This Event

During World War II, the demand for workers led women to step into roles previously held by men. As more men were needed in combat, the United States military created volunteer reserves for women to fill critical support and non-combat positions, such as Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service (WAVES).

Join the Intrepid Museum for a 90-minute virtual professional development session to celebrate the service of women in the Navy.  Learn how the WAVES shaped American naval policies and expanded the conversation around: “Who serves in the Navy?”

This program provides 1.5 CTLE credits. Registered participants will receive the access link and additional program details one to two days prior to the session. Virtual check-in will begin at 5:45pm ET.

Registration will open approximately one month before the event. Space is limited. Registration ends Friday, March 13, at 3:00pm ET.

This virtual program is open to 25 registered participants who will each be eligible for a $75 stipend upon completion of the program.
