Virtual Access Family Program: Submarine Stealth & Science
For individuals with developmental disabilities and their families (all ages)
The U.S. Navy nicknamed its submarine force the “Silent Service,” as submarines constantly patrol and carry out classified missions. Join us for a virtual Access Family Program to explore the mission, secrets and science behind the Intrepid Museum’s Cold War submarine Growler!
About Access Family Programs: The Intrepid Museum offers monthly programs for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These programs alternate between virtual and onsite programs, and take place on select Sundays during regular Museum hours. Virtual programs include an at-home activity packet.
Registration info: Free with advance registration. Registration opens one month before the program date. Space is limited. If you have any questions, please contact: access@intrepidmuseum.org
Access programs at the Intrepid Museum are generously supported by The FAR Fund, the J.E. & Z.B. Butler Foundation, Frank J. Antun Foundation and The Barker Welfare Foundation. The Museum’s Access programs are supported, in part, by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, and the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
