NEW YORK (August 7, 2025) — The Intrepid Museum welcomes Lee Ann Gullie as its new Vice President of Institutional Advancement. A veteran development leader in the cultural sector, Gullie brings more than twenty years of experience guiding philanthropic strategy for some of New York City’s most respected organizations.

Over the course of her career, she has led major fundraising initiatives at The Moth, New York Theatre Workshop, Second Stage Theatre, Ars Nova and the Make-A-Wish Metro New York and Western New York. Her work has helped grow and diversify revenue streams, deepen donor engagement and align funding with ambitious program goals.

“Lee Ann brings a strong mix of strategic insight and deep experience to the Museum,” said Susan Marenoff-Zausner, President of the Intrepid Museum. “She understands how to build lasting relationships and translate support into real impact. She joins us at a critical juncture as we embark on our first capital campaign, which aims to ensure our long-term vitality as one of the world’s most unique and compelling cultural institutions.”

Most recently, Gullie served as Director of Development at The Moth, where she led a team that raised $9 million in just over two years. There, she secured the organization’s first seven-figure gift in more than a decade, introduced new donor systems to improve accuracy and efficiency, and helped expand support for the Education program. Her earlier tenure at New York Theatre Workshop saw her double annual fundraising revenue and through significant growth in both their major gift and patron programs as well as their annual gala.

“I’m excited to join an institution that blends history, education and innovation so powerfully,” said Gullie. “The stories told aboard Intrepid continue to resonate across generations, and I look forward to building the partnerships that will help the Museum grow and thrive.”

In this leadership role, Gullie will guide the Museum’s advancement strategy across major gifts, membership, institutional partnerships, grants, and fundraising events. Her initial focus will include the

Museum’s soon-to-be-launched capital campaign along with growing revenue through membership programming and special events.

Gullie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology and Behavior from Cornell University. She currently serves on the board of Fourth Arts Block (FAB), a nonprofit organization that supports and strengthens the cultural life of Manhattan’s East Village.
