The 2026 Salute to Freedom Gala was held on Tuesday, July 7. Honorees included NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman, Admiral Daryl Caudle, and Bank of America, accepted by Eric Schimpf, President and Co-Head of Merrill Wealth Management. Guest included Museum Trustees, supporters and military dignitaries. Support from the gala goes towards education programming, free programs for veterans and military families, exhibitions, and artifact preservation. This year’s gala is especially meaningful as we celebrate America’s historic 250th anniversary. Throughout this year, the Museum’s programming will honor America’s story and Intrepid’s contributions to its history, while inspiring generations who will write America’s next chapter.
