One of our Museum’s prime missions is to use the lessons of the past to educate and inspire future generations to make positive change. In this moment, that has never meant more.
In its time of active duty, 55,000 brave crew members served aboard Intrepid, protecting, guarding and fighting for our freedoms and democracy against external threats from abroad. For that, we are eternally grateful. The actions and hateful imagery of those who would now threaten our institutions from inside our own country are an affront to their and all our veterans’ service and sacrifice.
On their behalf, and on behalf of all of us at the Intrepid Museum who are dedicated to carrying on their legacy, we unequivocally condemn those actions. We are reminded that it is the responsibility of ALL of us to remain vigilant in opposing and confronting any such threats and behaviors.
Sincerely,

Susan Marenoff-Zausner
