Intrepid Welcomes President of Slovakia

On Friday, September 24, 2010, the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum welcomed His Excellency Ivan Gasparovic, President of Slovakia. Accompanied by Executive Director Susan Marenoff, The President enjoyed a guided tour of the Museum, visiting the Growler Submarine and posing for a photo in the Concorde’s cockpit.  

President Gasparovic took some time out to write a note of appreciation in the museum’s guest book that documents over fifteen years of public figures’ thoughts on the Intrepid experience.  Although the Intrepid has been paid visits by Prime Ministers and Dignitaries, Ivan Gasparovic was the first international President to come aboard.
