Insider Tips for Making the Most of Kids Week

With Kids Week right around the corner and over 120 exciting STEAM activities to choose from, it can be hard to know where to start. Here are some of the activities we can’t wait to attend see the full schedule here.

Kids Week
 
1. Ripley's Believe It or Not! Times Square
Date & Time: Saturday, Feb. 15 and Sunday, Feb. 16 (All-Day Activity) Location: Hangar 3 The family-friendly tourist attraction joins us for two all-day activities and invites guests to experience the unbelievable mysteries of our world. Try your hand at the Believe It or Not! gaming activity in Hangar 3 and take a spin on the prize wheel.
2. Wild Encounters with Jarod Miller
Monday, Feb. 17: Live Animal Demonstrations at 11:30am and 3:30pm in Hangar 1, Lutnick Theater; All-Day Activity in Hangar 3 Tuesday, Feb. 18: Live Animal Demonstrations at 11:30am and 2:30pm in Hangar 1, Lutnick Theater; All-Day Activity in Hangar 3; Exclusive Presentation at 1:30pm (Intrepid Members-Only Perk) Join zoologist, naturalist and host of ABC’s Animal Exploration Jarod Miller for a live animal demonstration featuring a crested porcupine, a bald eagle, an African serval and an alligator. Stop by Hangar 3 for an up-close look at even more wild visitors, including a frilled dragon, a screech own, an Egyptian vulture and more!

Intrepid members are also invited to an exclusive animal demonstration on Tuesday at 1:30pm. Visit our Information Desk to find out how to become a member and gain access to exclusive perks.
3. The Gazillion Bubble Show
Date & Time: Monday, Feb. 17 at 2:00pm and 4:00pm Location: Hangar 3 Stage Now in its twelfth year in New York City, the Gazillion Bubble Show brings its unique brand of bubble artistry to wow audiences during Kids Week. Visit Hangar 3 all day on Monday for more fun bubble activities!
4. Connecticut Beardsley Zoo
Tuesday, Feb. 18: Live Animal Demonstrations at Noon and 4:00pm on the Hangar 3 Stage; All-Day Activity in Hangar 3 Wednesday, Feb. 19: Live Animal Demonstrations at Noon and 4:00pm on the Hangar 3 Stage; All-Day Activity in Hangar 3 The Beardsley Zoo invites guests to explore the mysterious miniature world of insects and learn how to support wildlife preservation in an exciting live animal demonstration. Discover how invertebrates survive in the wild with tabletop displays and live arthropod animal ambassadors all day in Hangar 3!
5. The Billion Oyster Project
Date & Time: Workshop Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 12:30pm and 3:30pm; All-Day Activity in Hangar 3 Location: Hangar 3, Workshop Zone The Billion Oyster Project is a citywide effort to restore a sustainable oyster population to the New York Harbor. Visit this fascinating educational workshop to get up-close and personal with everyone’s favorite bi-valve and learn the importance of oysters to our estuary ecosystem (ages 7 and up).
