Does the Museum allow photography or videotaping? |
Personal cameras and video are allowed. Selfie sticks (or any other camera-extension devices) and professional equipment, including tripods, are not. If you would like to arrange a photo shoot or use any images associated with the Museum, please contact our Public Relations Department at aallen@intrepidmuseum.org

Does the Museum offer tours? |
The Museum offers an array of Guided Tours. Guides lead fascinating explorations of the Museum and provide greater insight into the artifacts on display. Tours are not included with admission and may be reserved for an additional fee. Click here to learn more about tours or inquire in the Welcome Center. I have lost something at the Museum. What do I do? |
Please fill out this form. We cannot respond to all inquiries, but we will contact you by email or telephone if your item has been found or turned in. We will verify that the item is yours and provide instructions on how it may be returned to you. |
Is the Museum wheelchair accessible? |
Because of the Intrepid’s status as a National Historic Landmark, most of the Museum is fully accessible by wheelchair. Areas that are not accessible by wheelchair include the fo’c’sle, combat information center, submarine Growler and Concorde. All restrooms and dining areas are fully accessible, as well as the flight deck, hangar deck and mess deck.
The Museum does not have wheelchairs available for public use. Lightweight stools are available to borrow from the Information Desk.

Does the Museum offer bag and coat check facilities? |
The Museum does not offer bag and coat check facilities. All belongings, including bags, strollers and luggage must remain with visitors at all times. |
What are the dining options at the Museum? |
Intrepid Marketplace and Aviator Grill offer menus with classic New York flavor. Choose from freshly prepared pizzas, sandwiches, wraps, salads and soups, including gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options.
Intrepid Marketplace is located on the mess deck of the ship, as well as on the pier.
Aviator Grill is located on the second floor of our Welcome Center.
Vending machines are located on the pier and the flight deck.

Does the museum have a nursing room? |
The museum has a room designated for nursing moms and caregivers, who need a private space to feed infants and young children. Please visit the Information Desk for access.

Can I bring artifacts to donate to the Museum? |
The Museum is grateful for donations of artifacts, photos, letters and other memorabilia. If you have artifacts to donate, we can work with you on shipping the items to the Museum. Please refrain from bringing items on your visit, as we do not accept artifacts in person. More information about artifact donations can be found here.

Ticket Purchases |
How can I purchase tickets? |
Tickets can be purchased on location, at our Welcome Center's Box Office or online. Tickets purchased, whether online or at the Welcome Center's Box Office are valid on the date chosen or date of your arrival at the Museum. All members of your party must possess a general admission ticket for entry into the museum. Final Entry and Last Ticket sold one hour prior to closing.. Purchase tickets online. |
When are tickets purchased online valid? |
You may use tickets purchased online any time during Museum hours on the day that you selected, with the exception of Guided Tours, which begin at the time indicated. Last entry is one hour before closing. |
When is the latest time I can purchase a ticket and enter the Museum? |
You may purchase tickets at our Welcome Center's Box Office and enter the Museum up to one hour before closing. |
Are Growler and the Concorde included with admission? |
Museum admission includes entry to the aircraft carrier Intrepid, the Space Shuttle Pavilion and Growler. The British Airways Concorde is only open for private guided tours, offered daily. Tours are not included with general admission and may be reserved for an additional fee.

Do active military and veterans receive free admission? |
U.S. military and veterans receive free admission to the Museum with valid identification, thanks to the generous support of Bank of America. Spouses of active-duty service members receive a 20% discount on admission.
Examples of acceptable identification are active duty, retiree or reservist military ID card (DD Form 2 or 2A), civilian retiree card, discharge papers (DD-214), state-issued veteran designation on driver’s license or identification card, or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Identification Card (VIC).

Are there volunteer opportunities? |
Volunteers are an integral part of the Museum. Our volunteers work with the public or behind the scenes. The Museum is always seeking qualified individuals who are willing to assist in promoting and sustaining our mission. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and willing to contribute eight hours each month for a minimum of six months.
